環節動物磯沙蠶屬最出名的種類，莫過於博比特蟲了；許多人對於牠潛伏在沙中，當哪個倒楣鬼路過時，就猛然伸出去咬住拖到洞穴裡的「英姿」應該記憶深刻。台灣也有這種奇特的生物喔！台灣目前發現有 6 種，2 種為新紀錄種、4 種為近年發表的新種：節鬚磯沙蠶（Eunice annulicirrata Miura, 1986）、扁磯沙蠶（Eunice dilatata Grube, 1877）、基翬磯沙蠶（Eunice jihueiensis Hsueh & Li, 2014）、網紋磯沙蠶（Eunice reticulate Hsueh & Li, 2014）、石門磯沙蠶（Eunice shihmenensis Hsueh & Li, 2014）、達悟磯沙蠶（Eunice taoi Hsueh & Li, 2014）
