A Scheme of Philosophy was first published in 1959 and written as an expansion of “An Introduction to Philosophy”.  It examines the philosophy of life using a broad definition, that Human Philosophy encompasses Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Values (epistemology, ethics, aesthetics, religion) and Social Philosophy.

Dr. Wu paints the realm of knowledge as two entities: the universe and human life. Within the universe, philosophy is the study of all human knowledge and pursuit of the ultimate answer to the cosmos, whereas philosophy for life tackles the questions related to metaphysics, mind theories, problems of values and group living.

This book outlines the Western Philosophy of Metaphysics, Epistemology, Logic, Ethics, and Aesthetics, creating “love of wisdom” with theories from Plato, Aristotle and Socrates.
